I do not have a man cave so to speak. I use my two car garage to keep all my tackle in. My question is this.
Does the heat in my garage affect the line on my reels? I have a issue with the line being curley after one or two trips.

What type line are you using? I don't think the temp in the garage is going to get that hot to mess with the line. In my experiences, monofilament that I have stored in the boat had bad memory problems, especially if it was a heavy line weight. I just started keeping my line in a plano line storage box just a pony spool at a time. I keep an empty drawer in my bedroom for all my other line.

I wouldn't think it would hurt it too bad unless it gets really hot in there. Fluorocarbon has a tendency to break down but in my opinion it is hurt more by direct sunlight than ambient temperature.
